1. What is included in the tour?

2. What is not included in the tour?

Flights: You are responsible for booking your flights to and from Bordeaux aiport where we will picjuyou up/drop you off. Some arrangements can be made, feel free to notice us in advance so we can accomodate your request if possible.

Travel Insurance: You will need to arrange your own travel insurance for the duration of the trip.

Personal Expenses: Souvenirs, snacks, and any additional personal purchases are not covered.Gratuities: While tips for guides and drivers are not mandatory, they are appreciated.
3. How many people are in each group?
The tour is designed for a small, intimate group, typically ranging from 5 to 9 participants. This ensures personalized experiences and the opportunity to connect with fellow travelers.
4. What kind of accommodations can I expect?
You’ll stay in charming, comfortable hotels or guesthouses, reflecting the unique character of the Basque Country. Expect a mix of local boutique stays and cozy, rural accommodations with modern amenities.
5. What is the best time of year to visit the Basque Country?
Check the date offered in "Tours". The best times to visit the Basque Country are spring (April to June) and fall (September to November), offering mild weather, fewer crowds, and vibrant landscapes ideal for outdoor activities. Spring brings lush greenery and blooming flowers, while fall is perfect for wine enthusiasts with the harvest season. Summer (June to August) is great for festivals, vibrant coastal life, and longer days, though it’s busier with tourists. Winter (December to February) offers a tranquil, off-season experience with festive decorations and cozy village stays. Ultimately, spring and fall provide the best balance of weather, beauty, and peaceful exploration.
6. Do I need to be physically fit to participate?
While the tour is designed to be relaxing, some activities may involve light hiking or walking. You should be able to walk comfortably for 1-2 hours at a time. If you have specific health concerns, please contact us in advance, and we can tailor some aspects of the tour for you.
7. Will I be able to communicate if I don't speak Spanish or Basque?
We speak English fluently, and many of the locals in tourist areas also understand basic English. We will be here ot translate anytime.
8. What is the food like on this tour?
The Basque Country is renowned for its cuisine, and you’ll be able to indulge in some of the finest regional dishes. From fresh seafood to delicious pintxos (small tapas), you’ll experience a variety of traditional meals. Dietary restrictions or preferences can be accommodated with advance notice although notenote that this tour does not offer guaranteed vegetarian options at every food stop, but we will do our best when possible (please notice us before booking). While vegetarians are welcome, please be aware that the tour includes the consumption of animal-derived products, possible farm visits, and an animal-derived culinary diet throughout the trip, including cheese, meat, and recipes made with milk or cream, etc.
9. Are wine tastings included?
Yes! of course! Basque wine culture is an integral part of the tour. You will visit local vineyards to taste both traditional Basque wines and international varieties. These wine tastings are led by experts and are included in the tour price.
10. What should I pack for this trip?
Comfortable clothing for outdoor activities, including walking shoes.Layers for varying weather conditions.A camera to capture the stunning landscapes and moments.Swimwear if you plan to enjoy wellness activities or spas.A daypack for carrying essentials during excursions. A water bottle to refill each day to make sure you stay hydrated!
11. Is this tour suitable for solo travelers?
Absolutely! Many solo travelers join our tours, and the small group setting allows for a friendly and welcoming environment. You’ll meet new people and share amazing experiences in a safe, supportive atmosphere.
12. Can I extend my stay in the Basque Country or in another location?
We can help you arrange accommodations and additional activities before or after the tour. Just let us know if you’d like to extend your trip. Some guests want to add an extra day in Bordeaux or arrive earlier to enjoy the city. Some guests come from Paris where they stayed a couple days before the tour starts.
13. How do I book the tour?
Simply contact our team (RESERVE TAB) to reserve your spot. Early booking is recommended, as our small group tours tend to fill up quickly.
14. What is the cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

More than 180 days before departure: You can cancel your booking for a full refund minus a non-refundable deposit of $500 USD per person. $500 USD can be transferred as a credit for a tour in the future on Roam Rest Reset terms.

Less than 180 days before departure: Unfortunately, cancellations made within 180 days of the tour start date are non-refundable.

Please note: Refunds will be processed after the tour's departure date. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance (www.squaremouth.com is valuable resource for securing your travel plans and booking with confidence).

Cancellation Procedure: Cancellations must be submitted in writing and sent via email only to roamrestreset@gmail.com
If you cancel outside of 180 days from the tour start date, it may be possible to transfer your payment as a voucher toward a future trip, depending on the price of the new trip and on ROAM REST RESERT terms.
